Three of the Democrats running for governor gathered to discuss grassroots politics and including people who are often left out Monday evening, at a forum hosted by the nonprofit Kaleidoscope Wisconsin. Baylor Spears reports on the conversation, which included the candidates’ perspectives on last week’s major changes to the field.
The Trump administration is removing protections from the key places where endangered species live, saying states can keep the areas safe. But experts say states aren’t equipped for the task. Alex Brown reports on what happens now that the Trump administration is opening many landscapes to development, logging, mining and oil and gas drilling.
In a commentary, Michael Pointer Mace of the First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee and the ICE Out MKE Coalition urges City Attorney Evan Goyke to file a lawsuit against the federal government for disregarding Milwaukee’s mask ban.
